- Book sync doesn't transfer books

Hi,
I have a lot of epubs with I had bought from different stores. I added them to books at macbook air.
I checked twice that in my account-setting icloud drive -> books is enabled. On my iphone the same.
If I add a 19 MB book to the app I can see that the part which documents consume in my icloud increase with 19 MB, so even if I can't see the document in files I'm sure they are uploaded.
I sync my mac book with the iphone and check that all books are chosen. How ever the new book never reached my iphone.
What's wrong? What I'm missing?
