- Export photos from the Fotos App with correct...
- #1
Hi folks,
afaic I might not be the only user who would like to copy or export photos from the photos app.
Every time I try to do that, the exif metadata will be changed for no obvious reason.
It is regardless, which option I choose to get the photo out of the photos library:
My question to the community is:
Is there any way to copy or export photos from the library used in iCloud and photos app without any manipulation of the exif metadata?
Any helpful answer will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Mathias
PS:
The photo I am referring to was taken as a screenshot on an iPhone 7 back on 7th of May 2017.

- First option was the photos app on my MacBook Air running photos app version 7.00 where I used drag & drop, the dropdown menu and copy and the export feature of the app. The result was always as shown in the screenshot.
- Then I logged into iCloud via Safari to download several photos at once as a zip file. Having extracted the contents, the exif metadata also show the actual data with a time just a minute ago.
